Interview with Matilda The Musical’s Rakesh Boury
Mr. Wormwood may be itching to escape to Spain, but Rakesh Boury who plays Matilda’s hilarious but dishonest Dad in the Royal Shakespeare Company’s multi-award-winning Matilda The Musical, enjoys staying closer to home. ‘I just like to wander [around London] and take it all in, from the amazing culture, incredible food and the architecture. I particularly like walking across some of the bridges across the Thames.’ If you spot Boury on the capitals famous footbridges you may see him enjoying a well-deserved ice cream (8 shows a week will build up an appetite, and playing the hot-headed car salesman is sure to make you crave something cold and sweet to cool you off!) ‘I LOVE food… if you wander around Seven Dials enough, you inevitably end up in one of the amazing Ice Cream shops’.
However, it's not all ice creams and cones. We caught up with the talented actor to discuss all things BBQs, teeth, and of course, Matilda The Musical!

Lashana Lynch reportedly cast as Miss Honey in upcoming Matilda musical film
British actress Lashana Lynch, who is perhaps best known for her portrayal of fighter pilot Maria Rambeau in Captain Marvel (2019) and who is set to star in the next James Bond film, No Time To Die, is said to be in "final negotiations" to portray Miss Honey in the upcoming new movie adaptation of Matilda The Musical.
The last actress to play Matilda's schoolteacher, Miss Jennifer Honey, on-screen was Embeth Davidtz in the hit 1996 film Matilda, which starred Mara Wilson in the titular role opposite Danny DeVito as Harry Wormwood and Pam Ferris as Matilda's evil headmaster. Both the film and the musical are based on Roald Dahl's 1988 children's fantasy novel of the same name. Get the full scoop below.

London Theatre Review: Matilda a "great night out" and "must-see"
Wow, what a night! So I’ve been busting to see Matilda at the Cambridge Theatre ever since it was announced almost a decade ago and just couldn’t find a child to go with. Don’t wait as long as I did — this is such a great story that's delivered so well and translates beautifully to adult audiences.
